Wow, This is something! I have no idea why no body said anything before about this project, but actually it’s a pretty good one! good luck, can’t wait for the next update  I just want to ask some questions if you don’t mind,

  1. How long have you been working on your project?

2.Are you working alone or do you have a team?

  1. are you going to release a beta of the game soon?

Awesome! I will be glad to test it out to share my oponions

Hey man!

I think your download is set to private. I get “Viewers cannot download”.

Also, skyscrapers can’t just fall over like that. This might be interesting to you: http://scienceblogs.com/startswithabang/2009/06/26/how-stable-are-skyscrapers/

Righty. I’ve been running around in your demo for about 8 - 10 minutes and I think I’ve seen enough to give some feedback.

First of all, the good:

I really like the atmosphere your are going for with the very colorful and lush grass and vegetation in combination with the old and destroyed mega-city. That’s a really cool setting and with the ambiance sounds it actually gets quite atmospheric already. It would be cool if you’d push this setting even further with large exotic plants and colorful bushes everywhere.

I also ran into a pack of horses which totally caught me by surprise! Having more animals would be cool like wild dogs and cats, maybe deer or bears. That would be awesome!

I also like the idea of having a voxel building system for building your own shack(though I couldn’t figure out how to actually place any blocks).

Alright, now to the negatives. You really should never parent a camera directly to a player head bone. The headbob that you get from that made me dizzy in just a few minutes and I could not possibly play this for more then 15 minutes at a time without getting sick. And I usually don’t get motion sick so people with real motion sickness probably won’t be able to play this at all! Try to keep the first person camera as smooth as possible. A slight head bob is fine, but I’d keep that to a minimum.

Also, the entire movement system felt veeery floaty which is probably because you use actual physics for it? That’s also usually bad practice and I’d advice writing your player physics yourself to get more control over it. I also got stuck in the terrain at least twice and ran into some weird invisible walls near staircases. All in all I never felt like I was really in control over the character and more like I was vaguely telling him in what direction to run in.

I assume the inventory and equipment system is highly WIP, so I won’t comment on that for now.

As for the skyscrapers. Buildings of that height usually collapse from the fundament upwards. So they would just be a pile of rubble when they collapse.

I think this has a lot of potential though, keep it up!

but…

but… where will you get all the free & overused & non-cohesive assets to use in ur game then?
