Demo/Trial prematurely expired

Hello, I installed a trial of Unity on my desktop machine this past weekend in order to evaluate Unity’s potential for iPhone development. I used it for a bit, liked what I saw, and planned to spend this whole week on a sort of computer-retreat, to work deeply with the Unity trial.

So, this morning I synced my desktop to my laptop and went traveling…I’m now sitting down to work with Unity, but when I launch the trial, I get a message saying it’s expired. I had at least 28 days of trail time remaining on my desktop machine… looks like something got screwed up when I synced to my laptop?

Anyway, time is of the essence, I don’t want this trip to be a bust. Would someone from the company please contact me ASAP in order to reactivate the trial or to discuss some other options for me to evaluate Unity this week?

Thank you,

John Balestrieri

FYI, our installs are per-machine, synching your two machines is precisely what caused this issue in the first place. When you install the trial a license file is written that is specific to that computer, you then synch’d, bringing that file to the other computer and BONK, Unity errors out.

I’ll create an evaluation license for you and send it via PM so you’re up and running as intended.

Thank you. Somewhere in the back of my mind, I heard a little voice warning me this might happen. Unfortunately, I don’t have any other way to sync my machine other than to do a full sync, and so I plunged ahead.

Thank you again for you quick response, and I appreciate your swift rescue effort.
