Depth of Field producing 100 + draw calls that stay even on deactivation

I’m using a depth of field component which is initially deactivated. I get 300 drawcalls. Then I enable it via a script, drawcalls go up to 420. When I disable it via script again, drawcalls go down to 400.

Anyone has any ideas where those 100 extra drawcalls come from and how I could get rid of them?

Saw the same thing with vignette shader.

Any ideas what’s causing it? Because those 100 drawcalls to push down the FPS quite a lot and I’d love to solve the problem.

Does really no one have any idea? Is it a bug in the software? Or is it me doing something wrong? Anything?
