Desert Mountains vol.1

Hello everybody! Let me introduce you to my first public asset. This is a package of 3d models, which can be used for background in your scenes.

This package contains 9 MESH BASED mountains for background usage. Mesh objects are around 6k verts.

nex upd mountains will get higher polycount and they will get LODs

upd 1.3:
*All mountains now have LOD meshes.

upd 1.2:
*Normal maps now got 4096x4096 resolution
*Pack now include PSD file, which contain some diffuse and mask textures for variate current mountains

Each mountain has:
____Diffuse map - BMP 4096x4096. Save the quality.
__
__Normal map - EXR32 4096x4096 (upd1.2). Accurate normals and No more god damn artifacts! :wink:
____Specular map (optional) - JPG 4096x4096. Save the space for specular.
__
__Displace map (optional) - RAW32 4096x4096. Build your own terrain! And don’t worry about “stairs” effects.

WARNING ! Package contain high quality maps, so you need some space to land them! =)

Soon i will create vol.2 and vol.3, but i need to know something to improve profit:

  • do you need mid poly(~25k verts) meshes and LODs in package?

Looks like you just used several of GeoControl’s presets and exported them.

I don’t think you should be charging that much for just clicking a few buttons.

Yes, GeoControl was used, just like a few more programs. But it wasn’t copy-paste examples, and it was far from “clicking a few buttons”.

And I would like large terrain, and seamless.

think i can do 3 “yes” =) but to do seamless terrain… it will be interesting, but possible even if peaces will be in different set. Will work on it.
