I am making an RPG called destiny of faith, it is set in a medieval world with an advanced technological people that were given the technology by another race beyond the stars about 500 years before the game starts.
You can pick from a Mage, archer, warrior ,elf or blacksmith, it is a single player RPG that you can play with up to 10 friends through LAN or WAN with fully customizable characters, weapons, items, vehicles and so on.
In the demo you can pick the warrior only and the current character is a stand in. The elf is being modeled in the next few weeks. The scripts are from burgzergarcade.com and I will be expanding on them with Kalli the programer, he is creating the NPC daily routine at the moment and when it is finished the AI will be as near as possible to real life actions that people do in their daily lives like eat, drink, sleep, fight, maybe even die XD.
enough of me check out the demo. the only thing to do really for now is explore the world and if you want to swim for 4 hours you will see another continent the isle of sand lol. http://alphandomegaproductions.webs.com/gamedemos.htm
I wouldn’t promote yourself as a CEO if you aren’t one, just makes you seem very unprofessional. Not sure if the game is supposed to be so dark or not, perhaps it is night time?
It’s a really good start! Keep working it, with some hard work you can have this onto steam. The music is solid, just note that the art needs some work, camera could use some tweaking and just all around polish. Good job on it though! Get that world populated and bustling with people!
Looking good, keep it up. The controls seem pretty good, but the camera when turning feels a little weird, and the camera seems like it could be tilted up a bit. I feel like I’m walking with my head down to the floor.
Not bad start. You need to correct the camera/movement. Make it more standardized like having the ability to move him while looking instead of controlling him with WASD. Right now he is very jumpy. The ability to zoom the camera in would be good too.
Other then that, good start. Keep it up.
+1 for the “more light” (unless its a night scene).
Just edit the ambient light under Edit/Render Settings to some light blue color, and the directional light should be light orange, it will help a lot.
Hey guys thanks for the responses, the game has a day/night cycle and it starts at night but in the next update the cycle is set to 3 minutes so daylight comes quicker, Before it was set to 30 minutes. I am following the tutorial series from burgzergarcade.com " thanks petey" and he has to revisit the camera system, I have an idea for a system but no programmer hopefully I will have the Realistic NPC system soon. A friend from college said he will have a look and see what he can do. When petey gets back the spell system will be done and I will post an update. Hope your dad is okay petey
