Hi,
I made a rock. I applied bumped diffuse shader to its mesh within unity. I have a nice normal map and a diffuse texture for the rock too. I applied both of them to the rock’s bump diffuse shader. Then I saved it as a prefab and load it as details mesh in terrain painting. When I select the details mesh and attempt to paint over terrain,absolutely nothing happens.
I tried everything,still it does not work.:-x:rage: Guys,nobody of you use it on unity 4???
Update:This time I haven’t used normal map.Just plain diffuse shader.Still no luck
I am trying to paint terrain with “detail mesh”. The detail mesh I will be using is a rock. It was first sculpted in zbrush,then topolized and baked in xnormal.And finally I put this on scene and created a prefab and then I assign the prefab as detail mesh in terrain tool.
However,soon I find several issues.First of all I rendered the rock in maya before import.It was so nice.But when I import it to unity, things look ugly. After that I tried several time to paint with it but no luck. Finally I realize that flow. It worked.
