It’s my night for screwing up the terrain tools.
as you can see from the screenshot, I’m doing something wrong with my Detail Meshes. Some of them appear in teh correct spot but apparently with flipped normals. Is this an issue with shaders, or is it somehow a problem with the terrain editor? Any ideas?
I’ve noticed that moving the Noise Spread around changes some of them, but I think that’s just because its seeding the inverted rocks into different positions. Anyone have any ideas?
Try creating an instance of the mesh object in the scene by itself (ie, without using the terrain system). Then, rotate the object manually in the scene view to check there are no problems with the normals in the mesh itself.
I’ve got a few in there now, and they all look fine when not placed by the terrain editor. I’ve got them rotated and scaled all over now.
