Detail paint disappointment

Hi

I’m new to unity and this is my first post. I don’t know exactly what is the purpose of detail paint tool. The grass made with it looks awful, so i tried to use for massive distributing my own plants and rocks made with blender and photoshop. I don’t know why the meshes distributed with this tool use different shader - no alpha transparency in case of plantscutout leaves, and no normals, ao and other texture maps in case of rocks. Another issue is that everything is placed with an odd angle, the Y-axis doesn’t point up, it lies vertically.

So is there any other useful tool for massive distributing terrain assets, or do i have to put every tiny weed and stone by hand?

Here You can see my settings for the detail mesh, and on the second imaqge it is how it looks in-game. You can see the original plant added by hand directly from the asset manager, and the same mesh distributed among the ground with detail painting.
