does anyone know of a way to detect what version of the phone is being used? 1st gen, 3g, 3gs, touch, etc.
this would allow me to turn features on and off depending on the version so it could look better. for instance i could turn a fog layer in my level on or off etc. or have the number of sprites be higher or a better explosion etc.
i guess a really bad way to do this would be to check the performance and if its high enough turn it on but that could induce flickering etc.
