Developing with eclipse/java vs unity

Hello, I’ve been developing with unity for 2 years now and love it. I’m working with a new company who uses eclipse to make android apps and I’m wanting to persuade them to use unity. So far the apps are pretty simple and i know everything they do can be created with unity. I’m just wondering if there’s a lot of things you can’t do or access in unity that would make it worthwhile to develop a more complex project using another method.
thanks

@andy, if you are referring to non-game apps then Unity is absolutely not the way to go unless it is some very interactive content. Unity does games very, very well but for making a regular (non-game/immersive interactive) app it would be foolish to use Unity. It wouldn’t have the look/feel of an Android app and it would take a ton more time to make.

I thought that would be the case but was hoping for a miracle. Thanks for clearing that up for me, now I’m off to learn more Java!

Only upside is that it would probably work on iOS as well
