I’m teaching myself unity and was looking at the manual entries for 2D joints to learn what they all do, and I can’t for the life of me tell what the point is in having the Wheel Joint 2D and Hinge Joint 2D as separate joints. The Hinge Joint 2D seems to be the more general purpose joint, and it seems to me that I should be able to use a Hinge Joint 2D to do everything I can with a Wheel Joint 2D. So, I figured I’d ask if there was actually an advantage to using the Wheel Joint 2D over the Hinge Joint 2D
Well one has suspension variables and one has angular limits. Just choose which one you need.
