difference in coding when using VR

Hi!

I am a beginner but how much of a difference is there when you are coding in unity and using your mouse pad to play along and using that app in your headset. How do you move around and control objects there? is it the same coding for both?

Do the coding differ?
if so how much?
and how do you test your game without placing it in your headset?

Good mechanics are much harder in VR than on desktop. Since you do evrything with your “hands”.

If the mechanic needs VR interaction to be tested I either hold the headset in one hand and one controller in the other if one controller is enough to test. Otherwise I fully put it on
