Different textures on a plane per side

Hello.

I was searching around in the forums and i-net if it was possible to have multiple textures on for ex. a cube or a plane. If you have a plane can you put one color or texture on one side and then have another color or texture on the other side? Or for ex. a cube, flatten it and have a different texture on the south surface as towards the north surface.

Thank you in advance.

Search for double sided material/texture.
If memory serves - this is doable in code on a plane but the bottom side inherits the lighting/shadow information of the top surface. I think there may be code to fix this also.
Non-shader code - best to make a super thin mesh where the bottom side mesh can have unique lighting and shadow - but a coder may have a better solution.

Yah been looking into this a bit now and I think the easiest solution is to make to very thin squares as planes and just through a different texture on each. I haven’t had time to try it out with a 30ish % transperance but will do it soon hehe. Thank you for the replies.
