I’d like to introduce DigiKlay, a new digital sculpting software designed to be intuitive and lightweight, making it ideal for both beginners and experienced users. If you’re looking for a simpler yet powerful alternative to traditional sculpting tools, DigiKlay might be just what you need!
Key Features:
Minimal and intuitive interface – No clutter, just essential tools for a smooth sculpting experience. Object & Sculpting Modes – Modify and combine base shapes before sculpting with various brushes. Brushes – Includes Move, Smooth, Inflate, Flatten, Pinch, Crease, Clay, Polish, and Tessellate. Polygon management – Remesh, Relax, and Voxelize tools to refine your sculpture. Export to .obj – Easily integrate models into other 3D software or Unity projects. Save in .dkm format – Preserve all details and reload projects seamlessly. Free Web version – Sculpt directly from your browser without installation!
Middle mouse can be difficult to press on most mice. Rotate using the Alt key and left mouse button. Or just the right mouse button?.
Needs the ability to pan around.
Help doesn’t work.
Display always being rendered/updated when inactive. Most modelling/sculpting apps only update the view when necessary to prevent overheating and throttling.
Symmetrical sculpting option needs to be more obvious. Replace Turn Table button with symmetry?.
The mesh can become facetted when subdividing. Globally smooth the mesh after subdividing?
Start the app in sculping mode. Most users will immediately attempt to draw on the model.
Thanks a lot @zulo3d,
unfortunately I know that at the moment the web version has many limitations:
it is not possible to save and open .dkm files;
it is not possible to import and export .obj files;
it is not possible to render directly from the app;
some shortcuts, such as Ctrl+R (Quick Remeshing), cannot be used in the web version because they interfere with the browser actions;
wireframe not working.
The first three points are related to Standalone File Browser which doesn’t work on the WebGL version.
About wireframe I’m still invastigating and I will try to fix it as soon as possible.
I will work to improve the WebGL version as much as possible even if my focus is primarly on the desktop one.
About the middle mouse it is a fair consideration and I will keep it in mind, I could also provide two alternatives for rotation (keeping the central wheel for users used to ZBrush).
About the subdivision, the mesh is already smoothed, after each subdivision, but when you continue to subdivide the loops that are generated around the initial edges cause the geometry you see. The same happens in ZBrush and other sculpting softwares. I can’t smooth more because I might smooth out details that the user wants to keep.
About starting in sculpting mode it seems like a good idea.
The turntable seemed like an interesting idea, you can sculpt the mesh while it rotates (like in Ghost the movie!).
I would be happy if you tried the desktop version where all the features are active.
