Dimerocker Datastore for unique users

Hi there, I want to be able to run my game through dimerocker and for a player to be able to restore his/her own unique data from any pc using a password/user to retrieve their data.

In the examples I’m looking at there doesnt seem to be a way of sending data to the dimerocker servers with a unique id…well, there is, however, but this must be generated in unity and therefore it is imposible to tell if the id is unique on the Dimerocker server itself. Does that make any sense?

So how do I ensure my player restores his gamesave rather than someone elses.
Cheers all!

When you save/load data through the datastore, it is, by default, saving or loading the local user’s id. Two players saving data will not have any problems, unless you specifically try to save to the other player’s datastore.

Thats cool, but how does it know my id if say, I havent typed in a username. ie…I play agame…stop playing…fly to canada…start playing. How does that work? Is there a DImerocker login for all players? I havent seen one?

…or is it your facebook login?

There is a dimeRocker account, which is auto-created for you when you log in with Facebook. So, as long as you’re logging in with the same Facebook account, you’ll always be using the same dimeRocker account as well.

Thats brilliant!!!

Many thanks!!!
