Directional Light does not cull when lightmapping

Hi guys,

i’m trying to light just the top of my walls in my scene with a directional light, and not the floors. I set the culling to the appropriate layer and bake. But the entire scene gets lightmapped with the directional light. I did multiple tests, including setting culling to “none”, which means it should lightmap nothing, yet still the whole scene lightmaps. Culling does work in realtime lighting mode.

is this not an implemented feature when lightmapping? am i going to need to find a different solution? How else could i accomplish this?

Thanks,

Josh

Anyone have any ideas on this?

Is Beast just not compatible with culling on lights and there’s nothing to be done?

layers are not used for beast.
but you can easily make the ground not static, then its ignored for lightmapping in general

I don’t want the floors to not be lightmapped, i just want the floors to ignore a specific light. Any idea on how to do that?
