Directional light doesn't cast light unless rotated a certain way

I’m trying to make an effect where an object glows and the light it makes goes across the ground and hits a box. The problem I’m having is as shown in these pictures.

The light does not go across the ground for this object like it does for the others in the scene.

But when it points the wrong way (for my intent), it works just fine.

This happens with the other objects in the scene like it too. Why does this happen? It’s just a default spot light added to the object as a component in the inspector.

Could it be conflicting with how unity lighting works, IE when you point two spotlights at each other it’s causing issues?
