Disable Button Clicks While On Pause

So, let’s say, I have a Main Menu for my game, and in that menu there is an Options button which opens a Settings Menu infront of the camera and says Time.timescale = 0; while it’s open, BUT the buttons behind the Settings Menu still function, buttons like start game or quit, my question is, how do I stop the buttons from being interactable WHILE im in my options menu which is a POPUP menu, so the other buttons can be seen from behind, thanks in advance!

I’m not too sure if there is a way to affect all of them without direct reference, but you could always just reference their gameObject & set them inactive. Or have a public bool (for example isPaused) and in each button’s script just have a quick if statement to check if it is paused or not

But if i set them inactive they will not be seen, the mesh renderer disappears right? I want them to still be seen.

You could put a panel and set it as a raycast Target. this will make it so anything behind the panel cannot be clicked
