Disable Gameobject collision but still be able to use OnMouseDown() on it

so i have a door and when you click it opens and disables the box collider.
but since the box collider gets disabled you cant close it.
How do i fix this?

i want to make it so the character game object cannot collide with it but can still click it.
note: it doesn’t have a mesh renderer since i want it to be invisible don’t know if that does anything.

What about creating a new trigger collider and only enable when the player collides with the already existing Collider?

You need to disable collision between physics layers.
Player Setting → Physics
