Disable Unity Player in Chrome

We have a web page that shows if Unity is not installed, and we normally test this page in firefox by just deactivating the plugin in the plugin manager. In Google Chrome on the other hand, Unity does not seem to show up. Other than uninstalling the unity player completely, I wondered if there is a quick way of deactivating unity for Chrome. Would speed up our web development (would save us from constantly uninstalling an reinstalling the whole time).

Thanks.

Type "chrome:plugins" into the chrome address bar ("omnibar"). This will list all your plugins, each of which will have a "Disable" link.

There was talk of Unity running natively in chrome, in which case there would be no plugin to disable. However this is still under development by both Google and Unity.
