EDIT: I accidentally posted in “Getting Started”, very sorry. Can one of you moderators move this to the right section? Thank you so much!
Hi there!
I’m new around here, and I’m also new to Unity, game development, and programming in general.
When I first launched the Unity editor a few days ago, I just did not like the editor theme. I was doing some research, and apparently, the “dark theme” is only for professional or higher users.
I have a question:
Why make this limited only to paying users? It’s just an aesthetic, not a huge future that changes everything. To me, personally, the dark theme looks more professional and my eyes thank it.
My idea, is to allow us personal edition users to have the dark theme, but allow the paying users to change the editor how they want it.
This is my first thread, so I’m very sorry if I didn’t post in the right spot!
Also, I added a poll to this thread, which will close in two weeks. We will all show this to the Unity staff, and see what they say!
I would love to hear your opinions, please post below!
