Display adapter crashes Win7 Intel 945 graphics, UnityPro

Using a Samsung NC10 netbook, I seem to be able to browse and run Unity apps embedded in web pages without any trouble at all if I built the app using Unity Indie version, but since I upgraded to a Pro licence, I can’t view any of the applications I have written on the netbook without severe display adapter crashes (mostly resulting in blue screen of death), including even the most basic applications.

My first assumption was that pro assets present in a project could be the issue, but I built an empty project (not importing any of the pro or standard assets) and only have a few very simple objects in it, and even this will crash my netbook every time (whereas a much larger project built with Indie version continues to work perfectly).

I’m not pasting in the link here for fear of crashing others, but my colleague confirmed the problem by crashing her netbook (same OS, same chipset) browsing the application. Has anyone else encountered this? Is there a project setting somewhere I need to disable to get this working on low-spec machines? (and could I do that dynamically in code?)
