Do I need a new license to run Unity Pro in bootcamp?

Hi, I have a Unity Pro install running in OSX, I'm wanting to have a look of an implementation of the ARToolkit within Unity as posted on the forums here: http://forum.unity3d.com/viewtopic.php?t=32669

I want to install Unity Pro on a Windows XP install I have running through Bootcamp on the same machine - is this at all possible or do I need a new license?

Alternately are there any examples of using the ARToolkit with mac? thanks in advance for your response

It can be installed on up to two computers or virtual machines simultaneously: .

From the EULA:

A license of the Software may be installed on a total two computers or virtual machines simultaneously

So yes, you can install it in boot camp as well so long as your total number of simultaneous installs is no more than 2. I've heard that even that can be flexible if you contact Unity support and ask nicely. They just want to make sure you aren't sharing your license with other people.

Just as an update, it would seem there are NOT exceptions to this. Here is the email I received when asking:

Hi there,

Thanks for the email.

Unfortunately, each Unity license allows a single person to use Unity on two machines that they have exclusive use of, per our EULA. This would have been agreed to when activating Unity.

If you'd like to have a read, the link is below: http://unity3d.com/unity/unity-end-user-license-3.x.html

The only option would be to migrate from one of your existing machines. Please let me know how you'd wish to proceed.

Sorry I couldn't help you out.

Kind regards, Rob Unity Support
