Do we have a possibility to control a single vertex by 4+ bones?

Can we control a single vertex by 4+ bones. At the moment, by default it’s possible to control one vertex by maximum amount of 4 bones. and if it’s possible try to add an option of 8 bones , 10 bones , 12 bones

As documented here, there is a hardcoded maximum of 4 bone weights for a specific vertex.
