Do you check the collaboration section?

That is all, I’m wondering if it is worth posting there at all?

I’m sure leaving the concept of games out in the open would require lots of people looking at it but without comments how do we know?
A reply saying if you look there or not would be ideal to see the kind of skill levels of the people that look for projects to join projects.

Dang, my real good engrish forgot a “the” in the title.

Sometimes I do but my skill level really isn’t high enough to be looking into collaborating with anyone.
At least not in the sense you are looking for.

I only ever use the “New Posts” list to read anything new since my last visit. I never specifically look at particular sections. Not sure if that helps answer the question.

Even though it is moderated now, I still associate Collaboration with a cesspool of useless posts and projects that will never be finished. I never go on.

Not really… and ive given up on posting there too… Not because of their moderation method, the moderation method is fine, Its just people on here arent… ‘up to scratch’ in the collaborations they want to do.

If you have an RPG/Survival/Adventure/FPS project I can help

unless the moderators can trust us Collaboration is dead to me

The last time I looked into that section was a year ago or something. So no, not really.

I check every time there’s a new post. I’m actively looking to collaborate on the right project, but worthwhile projects almost never get posted, IMO. It’s usually just someone with a pie-in-the-sky idea, or looking for freebies. I’m looking for a more down-to-earth artist to make some simple games. So I never end up responding.

I’m glad it got moderated, though. The trolling in there was horrifying and wasn’t helping anyone. It started out innocently enough, with people trying to help people improve their posts… But it turned into a hate-fest too quickly.

Since they removed the “right of freedom of speech” it became so boring and so useless, dead to me too. This is sad because it was one of my preferred sections here.

removing “right of freedom of speech” was just a Bad move.

The collab section is no place for “freedom of speech”, but I also think the entire forum format is ill-fated for the goal.

Ideally, it should not be a forum but a site that simply allows people to create “projects” and people to sign up to collab, but no open discussions.

Not sure if people already forgot the section was full of “you are stupid you can’t do that kind of project without a billion dollars” flame fests and sets of people bumping their projects over and over.

Only flame fests and stubborn bumpers dominated the front pages.

That being told: I don’t go there unless pointed at something interesting because I don’t have time to dedicate to anyone else’s project nor do I have a project where I need more people to join.

I regularly browse the collaboration forum every 3-4 days and enjoy other’s projects.
And freedom of speech wasn’t removed, only Duty of well-thought-out postings was introduced. I’m quite sure the amount of actual happening collaborations have increased. Hot air didn’t add any value to the realization of ideas and collaboration projects.

Apart from that, I have a really hard time actually understanding what you are trying to ask in the last two sentences, TylerPerry. Were you in a rush, when typing the post ? Maybe it’s me being no native speaker, though

Not really, doesn’t seem to be a point, since you can’t reply to threads, in the past the majority of the flame posts were generally only started by a few people.

Sorry  I’m not good at English (even though it is my first and only language) I reworded the OP, perhaps it is now easier to read?.. And yeah, I’m always in a rush :stuck_out_tongue:

Na, I go elsewhere for my trolling fix now

(I usually just go hate on some scrubs in l4d2)
