Does anyone have video of Profactor,Inc assets?

I was looking at purchasing some assets from them. My dilemma is, even though the actual art looks amazing. Many of the animations seem very robotic. I was wondering if anyone has any video of their game using the assets to see if they flow naturally or not. You cannot tell from their animation videos very well with all the pauses between all the animations.

We use Protofactor, INC’s assets to demonstrate our Emerald AI and Crux Procedural AI Spawner assets and have been happy with the quality.

Here’s some videos with them in action using our Emerald AI system, excluding the deer model in the first video.

By the way it’s PROTOFACTOR INC.
None of our thousands customers ever complained of the animations. If you know how to deal with transitions between animation it’ll play flawlessly and smoothly. Just the art of crossfade is tricky but if used properly it’ll look great.
When we create our animations on the timeline we always separate them with about 10 frames where it’s not moving at all, hence the robotic aspect you’re talking about. But it’s to clearly show each separate animations. If you want to actually check the fluidity of an animation playing loop I would recommend checking out the weretoad model, it’s the only sketchfab model which has separate animations to play in loop.
Hope this helps.
And thanks for considering purchasing our assets.

Will Emerald AI support birds and fish?

Technically it can, but it’s more for animals, creatures, NPC, or anything that can interact with a player.

It is a bit misleading to want to see videos of someone else´s use of animations since a novice Unity user could really mess up the animation blends especially during combat or something where animations need to be masked or switch rapidly. And on the flip side, a person who understands unity can greatly improve the animations that come with a model pretty easily.

I saw one terrible video last year where a guy had set a death animation on loop and then went off on the asset developer for ´horrible animations´… so yeah.

That said. Profactor (sic) has some great models with really good animations.

I can attest to Protofactors models and animations being top quality.
The animations flow naturally and seamlessly - when used correctly with transitions setup properly.

This ‘robotic’ look is a common result of separating the animations so they can be viewed individually. I’d be more skeptical of animations that do not have this separation - as the preview would not be displaying each individual animation accurately.
