Does Check for Updates not work anymore?

I’ve been on 2018.3.0 since about the day it was released. As there were some issues, I kept checking whether there was a newer version via the Help → Check for Updates, but it always told me I was on the latest version. I discovered today that 2018.3.1 and 2018.3.2 had already been released, but Unity is still telling me I’m on the latest version.

Has the Check for Updates feature broken?

That feature has never been reliable. The best way to check for updates is to add yourself to the watch list of these two threads.
