Does penelope run in the background?

earlier today I was using an app (i can’t remember which one but it may have been a twitter client) and i got a system prompt asking if i would allow penelope to access my location info.

i thought it was very strange because penelope was not running - and i hadn’t run it in a few days.

to top off the strange events i used the ‘update all’ feature in app store today to update 2 applications and strange elevator like music started playing. it was not something that i have put in my music library, and when i launched the ipod it didnt display that anything was playing. the music continued for about 5 minutes - then i held on an icon so they started wiggling and it stopped.

has this happened to anyone else? i think it is really, really strange.

It’s impossible for non-Apple apps to run in the background.

It sounds like your device has a problem that’s unrelated to Penelope. (or the Demo Team is made up of the best iPhone hackers in the world and we added background processes to the device  )
