Does the new Unity HLAPI Support LAN games?

Does the new Unity HLAPI Support LAN games?
I am building a game with similar multiplayer mechanics to Minecraft
So I need a way that any player can click a button and the current world is opened to the local network
And a way to host a public game, so basically still LAN just port forwarded and stuff.

As far as I know, HLAPI is an old technology that will be replaced by MLAPI. And they both can work on a local network.
