Does the Unity5 cloth component have a scale?

I’ve been working with the new cloth component, and I have a small piece of clothing that moves very dramatically like it is a majestic 20 meter silk drape… After twerking the settings I thought I would just ask if there is a real world scale equivalent to the cloth physics… I don’t seem to be able to get the movement I want with setting alone.

I suspect it actually has to do with how dense the cloth mesh is, more vertices makes more dramatic movement, as if the cloth is very large… This implies there might be a mesh density rule of thumb, something like “vertice-per-inch”…

I’m not finding much info about the system online, and only a handful of discussions on the forum. Any tips? Thank you.

Hello.

I am having a somewhat similar problem when I try to create a Cloth component at runtime.
Also I was able to have a similar effect when I disable “use Tethers” option in the inspector.
Unfortunately, there seems to be no way of controlling this “use Tethers” property from script.

EDIT: Try to bump Solver Frequency up a bit. If your cloth mesh has many vertices default frequency of solver might not be enough to correctly manage your cloth. I set my frequency to 400 and got reasonable results.
