Jtok4j here from JustinTime Studios @ unity3d.expert. I’ve been dreaming of the next game I wanna take a stab at, and I started dreaming and drawing out plans for a Moving company game called: Movers…
It’s all about starting out as a lowly guy, moving furniture for a moving company… GOtta move houses/offices from their old location to the new.
Pack up their furniture, load in the truck, drive to the new location, unpack, with a series of challenges/rewards along the way.
Rewards like a bigger truck, larger/taller box mover, extra help, and more are found on the way to starting and running your own moving company.
So… all this was great, until a co-worker heard me blabbing about it, and mentioned that they thought a moving company/moving sim was already made…
Thus, I tried to look for any moving company/moving sims made already, but I cannot seem to locate any yet…
Can you please let me know if this has been done already? Thanks!
Doubt it. But even if it had been done, would it matter? you make what you want to make. You only worry about competition when you are big enough with enough players
I don’t know about mobile because I’m a PC gamer, but never heard of it on PC. Love simulators. Maybe you will make the next big sim since Farming Simulator or Euro Truck Sim 2. Those would be good to look at to see why they are so appealing to people. Even being a big sim fan, I was very surprised at the success of Car Mechanic Simulator 2014 and 2015 on PC.
Some people have no idea why those games are so successful because on the surface they sound kinda dull, but it’s all about the gameplay. Those games listed above have great gameplay.
