My mother tougue is Chinese and I live in China, so I need to input those characters via IME. I tested this feature in Ubuntu 22.04 and found that the only way I can type Chinese in is type them into notepad and copy them into Unity Edtor.
So is this a bug or my workaround is incorrect?
Do you mean IME support in the editor or at runtime? I remember somebody being unable to type Greek character in the editor but it was a long time ago and I don’t know if he solved the problem or not.
In the editor, have not tested in runtime. I’m not familiar with Greek so I’m not sure that they are same issue.
I tried typing some Japanese characters in Unity (on X11 using fcitx5-mozc) and it didn’t work. It works fine in every other applications I have, Unity is the only one that doesn’t. I checked packages and environment and didn’t find any glaring issue. I think this deserve a bug report.
