Door open animation Collision As Trigger makes my camera go dark and I am unable to walk through?

I have created a simple invisible cube with collision set to “as trigger” to act as a trigger when the player approaches a door. My player’s camera is output to an HTC Vive. Problem is that whenever I start waking through the invisible cube my headset goes black until I either push through it or back up.

I have verified that normal rigid bodies pass through without being physically affected.

Also my Vive’s controller produces a parabolic pointer for teleporting around, but that doesn’t want to go through any of these “is trigger” colliders either.

Any ideas why they are still acting like physical collision objects? Any thought on ways around it?

If you are using VRTK or something similar it has a script on it that does this on purpose in order to prevent players from moving through solid geometry…that is what it sounds like. To fix the pointer problem you have to tell it to ignore the layer that has your trigger colliders.

Thanks, Tomorrow I will try to locate the options to exclude a specific layer. Will let you know if i was successful.
