Hi everybody,
I’m looking for a way to downgrade the Polybrush 1.8 version (lastest release) to the 1.6 version as I think there’s a bug with the 1.8 version.
I’m using Unity 2021.3.43 but my project has Polybrush 1.6 and yesterday I decided to update the package to 1.8 version then I found some strange issues that makes me think there’s a bug with 1.8.
I’m also using the Polybrush shader provided with the samples that allows blend textures.
The issue appears while painting textures over multiple adjacent objects and blend them, normally when I paint over them I should see a consistent texture painted over the 2 meshes seamlessly. However after update, when i reach the very edge of any mesh, the brush leave some gaps on the adjacent mesh depending the edge I’m painting.
This makes the texture looks inconsistent across meshes and messes up painting terrains.
Here’s some gif showing the problem, those are 4 planes placing one next to each other, all of them sharing the same Polybrush Blend Shader.
Notice how the first part is painting seamlessly across all 4 planes, then with the updated Polybrush 1.8, the brush leave some gaps depending where is painting.
