This should be good news to all iOS devs using Unity.

Thats great news!
Yeah great. Also I tried this without updating to 5.1 and seems to be server side setting affecting all versions (or at least 5.0).
So the change is already active? Awesome!
I was planning on going over, but now that it is 50mb I should be able to stay under the limit.
This is best news I’ve had in weeks.
This makes up for the sadness that everyone on my twitter is buying an ipad with a bigger resolution than my friggin telly, and I cant afford one
That, and free licenses a couple days back… This ain’t a bad week!
“A massive 50 mb”
My definition of “massive” is at least 1 gb, but well, I guess we should be satisfied with this.
Great news
as long as free traffic with the lowest data contracts even here in switzerland are in the 100-250mb range, already 50mb is a pretty heavy bomb
but yeah 50mb are definitely required for the new resolution though a better gpu would have been required too (4x the pixel, but only 2x as fast, so fillrate /2 again, as back on 3GS → 4th gen / ipad 1, just not as bad as then as its /2 not /4 or /5.2)
