I would like to make some files available for easy downloading using the web player. Essentially, I would like an “option-click” or “right-click and save as” type of operation to occur, but have the user only have to left-click once, on something. I looked at some Javascript references, but I didn’t find what I needed yet. What might be the best way of going about this?
All you need to do for a one-click download in HTML is to link to a file, of a MIME-type which the server knows to tell the browser “hey, this is a file, download it.” - .zip is almost universally set to this, but it depends on your server. Application.OpenURL(“http://server.com/yourfile.zip”); should be equivalent to this.
However, most of my files are going to be Quicktime-playable. Zipping them will not do much for file size, and will only be an annoyance for my audience.
