drag drop 3d model .. How?

Hi…
if there is a cube in the scene, how can i drag and drop this cube with mouse cursor only in x and y directions ?

There is a script in this thread that shows how to do this. (It is in the iOS section of the forum but the code is OK for desktop usage too.)
