Draw UI objects on top of legacy OnGui objects?

My Unity project uses the new (post 4.6beta) UI system. I am also using an asset that uses legacy UI and draws itself via the OnGUI() callback.

I haven’t been able to find a way to draw any new UI system components on top of the legacy UI. I’m assuming that OnGUI() gets called after the new UI system components are drawn.

Is there a work-around for this until the asset can be updated to use the new UI system?

There’s no workaround, aside maybe from using a rendertexture to render UI stuff, and using the resulting texture in OnGUI code. But that’s probably more trouble than it’s worth.

Ah. Thanks Eric!

Looks like I’ll be porting that asset to the new UI system sooner rather than later!
