Drawing an "ant trail" arc? (or line for the moment)

Has anyone got any tips on doing this? Thanks

Are you talking about the ‘marching ants’ effect for (e.g.) showing the bounds of a selection? And is this intended to be an actual in-game effect? (As opposed to, say, something used in an editor script.)

Pretty much however I realised I could probally get away with a texture and scrolling the uv values, the only problem is getting the arc (i want to show where an object will land if I add force)
