Dressing room example works on my free unity

Hello,

I got a free licence unity3D 2.6 but somehow it works with the dressing room example, while I thought it should’t work cause of this phrase (Please note that this example project requires Unity Pro due to its use of AssetBundles, a Pro-only feature)

what happened? did my unity go pro or does al free unity3D applications get to open the project without any problems at all (tested evrything)

greetings Bas

Did you activate the 30 day Unity Pro trial in the last month? If so, that would probably explain it.

There was an obscure bug that one or two people found had enabled Pro-only features, but that was a long time ago and almost certainly pre-2.6, I think.

Probably still under trial.

The “bug” is actually not that obscure. Unity Free(2.6.x) can load any plugins (which was advertised as a pro feature) by dropping them in manually.

hello I didn’t activate any pro trail, and didn’t drop in anything manualy I just opened the scene.

and it worked.

will try it again to see if it still works ( got unity installed more then 6 months at the moment.

(tried again and it still works.)

Perhaps its using streaming assets? That is allowed in Unity Free. Maybe the author put in the warning because they thought it used asset bundles when they really meant streaming assets?

it is a official unity3D example (found in the recourses,I tried it couple of months ago back then it didn’t workr)

Try to publish it to web. If it works, try again In 30 days try see if it still works. Probably won’t.
