Druid's journey game released!

Hey all!

I’am pleased to say I have finally finished my first mobile game :). It’s a puzzle game where you have to create path with blocks toward the exit point to complete level. Please check it out if you have iOS devices!

Link to App store!

Here is a game screenshot:

You can also check my blog post to see how publishing to App store went  Link

Congratulations, mate! Hope you do good.
Funny enough, our game, Prince of Balls also got rejected due to the exit button
Reading your blog, I realized we had pretty much the same issues. The more I work with apple, which is hardly 2 months, the more I dislike them.

Reviews take forever, even for the smallest update, not to mention vague responses from their representatives.

Anyway, good luck to you! Are you planning an Android version. From my experience, it shouldn’t be a problem to build and release on Google Play.
Compared to Apple, Google is a joyride

Thank you!

Yeah reviews take like forever I agree :).

My plan at first was to release on Google Play also, but I found out just before I bought Android plugin for Unity3D that my country is not supported for developing selling apps. So I decided to release only for iOS platform.

I tried your game on my Android phone. It looks very nice. I like it
Could you tell how much time did you spend making it and what was the manpower for it?

Good luck to you!

Best regards,
Pintar

Thanks!

Prince of Balls was our first project. It started as a test project to get things running, to introduce unity to the rest of the team.
There are 4 of us and it took 1 year and 2 months to complete. The period could have been a LOT shorter if we hadn’t changed the gameplay mechanics 3 times. We even participated in the Unity Flash Contest, so this took some time too. We didn’t make the top 10, though.

Initially, the game was built for web player and it was played with mouse. After acquiring the licences for Android and iOS (thank you Unity for giving them away for free), we saw that those controls were crap on a device so we had to implement new ones - the ones you see now.

We too are from a country that isn’t supported for developing paid apps on Google Play so we decided to choose “Other” and release the free version.

Kind regards,
Pavao

The art looks great. As soon as I get a chance I will download it and try it out.

How are your sales going?

Pavlito: Well I think the important thing is that you completed your game and that it looks nice. I like to stick to implemented mechanics and I do not like to change them. Mainly because I think there is always some better unique way to tacke the problem and it would be hard to complete the project than with all that changing

TBYG: Nice to hear that. Well currently almost no marketing has been done, so the sales are expectedly lower.

Best regards,
Pintar

Nirvo, I agree, but we had to change the mechanics because the game was unplayable with the initial controls. Luckily, I had a dream I was playing Prince with new controls, which after implementation, proved to be awesome.
