DSP buffer size changes between 2018 and 2019? Stuttering occurs

Hi all,

We recently migrated a Android (TV) project from 2018.4.8 to 2019.2.10.

On a recent Sony Android TV we are experiencing severe audio issues. Extreme stuttering and SFX and music never seem to be able to finish. I am no audio expert but after reading up and testing for the better part of two days I suspect a buffer under run.

When I manually set the buffer to 2048 the audio plays fine but latency is almost 1 second.
All other Android devices, including the most basic Mi box available, works fine without changing any settings.

However the issue does not seem to exist in 2018 with the exact same settings.
I created two clean projects in both 2018 and 2019. It is the sample scene with an audiosource and music file attached to the main camera. The 2018 version plays just fine while the 2019 version has the stuttering.

This is with the exact same Project > Audio Settings settings!

Are there any Audio Settings changes between 2018 and 2019?
Is Unity 2019 unable to set correct default settings for some devices?

Unfortunately - I didn’t
We decided to downgrade to 2018 - there were more 2019 issues we had to tackle which were simply not worth it.
If I have a moment I will submit a bug report
