I’m wondering if anyone knows settings that would give an output similar to that of the normal soft shadows?
It seems if I drop my shadows samples and angle it becomes blocky and blotchy looking… and when I put it up they are too blurred and spread… Having a lot of trouble getting them to look correct.
If anyone could share settings it would be greatly appreciated!
dual lightmap does not look different than normal. the difference is just that within realtime shadow range it will remove the lightmap.
I know… what I mean is for the “far” shadow map that gets rendered far away… I’m having trouble getting the settings for that far map to look like the normal realtime shadows.
Right now they are very jagged or very blurry and it’s noticable when transitioning from realtime to baked shadows, unless if I put the realtime shadow range very far, which hurts the performance.
Turn the samples up to 100 for the directional light and turn the angle to zero. If the shadows are too sharp at that point then gradually increase the angle by increments of 0.1. To match the real time shadows the angle is going to be very low in most cases.
