Hi Unity! How do you plan to address the lack of DXC compiler support within the Unity Asset Store? Many Asset Store publishers may not even be aware that DXC exists, even though it is essential for certain platforms.

Yep! Totally agree: essential for Xbox & Switch in particular. Moreover, wave intrinsics are very efficient and can only be done with DX12… I am surprised that, almost 10 years after the release of DX12, Unity still considers is as “not ready for production”, in Unity 6 doc: Set a shader to require a shader model
At some point in the future, DX12 w/ DXC will be ready for production on PC, but will the Unity asset store be ready? If everyone is using ShaderGraph, the answer may be yes. Hearing their strategic thoughts on this topic would be helpful. I’m not sure why they skipped this question. Any insights, @UnityJuju?
