Hi Unitiers
I’m about to make a purchase of the Daikon Forge GUI system to make menus for my game. Something I’m also looking to do in the future is create labels that are assigned to an object and track the perspective of the camera so that no matter what orientation you look at the object from (including upside down), the label is showing (sort of like the HUD here but I’d like to be able to adjust the text font and so forth). http://www.daikonforge.com/dfgui/examples/floating-hud-controls/
It would be preferable to have a call-out line from the object to the label so that it isn’t overlying obscuring the object itself as well.
The threads I’ve found so far on this are quite old and I was wondering whether you think using the Daikon Forge GUI or UnityGUI is the way forward for this, and any pointers you might have?
Thanks in advance
A
