Played the demo, looks good. It seems to take too long to get moving from standstill though… like thrust is not strong enough or something, or it is entirely based on intertia and not enough control. Also having inertia on the rotation may be physically accurate but it’s quite hard to deal with trying to slow down a rotation at the same time as trying to slow down some movement. I think if you make the controls more responsive it will be better.
Cool, it’s better. For me the controls are still so slow, but that’s typical of asteroids/thrust style control systems… if you’re okay with it that’s cool. For me I think it’d be more fun if I could accelerate and change direction faster.
Really nice! Has a good feeling to it where you really feel the impact and weight of things. Would love if the turn was a bit more rapid on the ship. Anyhow nicely done!
Very nice asteroids game. I liked the attention to detail on the special effects of the game.
Some constructive suggestions,
Playing on my laptop - Score / Temperature etc. only visible off bottom of screen. Its ok if I full screen it though. Could they always be on screen.
There are silver asteroids , red and brown. Whats the difference between them ? Make one easier to kill and one harder ? At the moment all seemed hard to kill.
Bonuses - bit frustrating after working hard to kill an asteroid that they disappear sometimes quite fast.
Retro rockets - Would love to press down to move backwards. Or does that ruin the asteroids style ?
Im quite new to Unity was thinking of converting an old shootem up game I made, so your game has at least shown me whats possible. 84 Hours seems fast to make this , I notice your using playmaker, does this make a lot of difference to development time ?
