I was just thinking yesterday, with this quake being such a huge deal that it literally shook the world itself off it’s axis and extended the lives of new born children by 4 to 5 minutes during a 60 to 80 year lifetime, with the number of aftershocks, the accompanying volcano… it basically sounded like the world was completely at war with itself.
The fact that the world’s axis is now shifted, I wonder how much of an impact this is going to have on seasons and crops and stuff…
…but the mentioning of seasons brought to mind the hundreds of birds that unexpectedly died mid flight. Do you think this is somehow connected? That the world has been preparing itself for this massive devistation and the magnetic flow of the world was already getting corrupted back then and the birds all died flying into an electro magnetic death trap or something?
The axial shift caused by the earthquake was just 17 centimetres (6.5 inches). We’re not talking about disaster of Roland Emmerich proportions. Entire nations are not about to sink under the ocean- .
All major seismic events can have similar effects. Another shake in, say, Los Angeles, could well cancel out this latest change.
The birds died, at least in the USA because they were poisoning them. They did not associate it as quickly with this because the birds flew further away than expected its funny actually that this part of the story didn’t make big news as the rest of it did
Man, news tends to get corrupted a lot it seems… One person says 17 centimeters, the other says 10 degrees… And here I was hoping it would start snowing over here some day… Phoei!
i also heard an elderly person has been found on top of his roof on Tuesday, floating out in the middle of the ocean. Apparently he got on top of his roof after he saw the flooding in town. He spent a WEEK out in the ocean since the quake before he was found, 2 days ago. Living proof that time travel is possible.
The earth’s pole shifts all the time in a process called Axial Precession. Traces a circle every 26,000 years or so, hence the pole star was not always the pole star and the hole in the great pyramid wasn’t likely pointing at orion when they built it.
10 degrees in one day would certainly be a catastrophic event. Besides all that water sloshing about, either florida would become the first equatorial state or Alaska would be frozen solid.
Earlier in the year when the birds and fish were dying, I got curious. I checked, and last something like that occurred, it snowed in several deserts, and there was a pretty large earthquake (although not of the japan earthquakes magnitude). This year a large sum of fish and birds died, it snowed in a number of odd places such as Hawaii and some deserts, and now this.
If this is somehow going to be the basis for a game then please let me know. Otherwise, I’m left with no choice but to put this thread on hold while I sort out this problem with the axial shift.
