I’ve been following ecs for a while now and messing with it together with URP and have just seen this post: Are Unity Subscenes and LWRP Compatible ? - #25 by superpig
basically saying HDRP is the main compatibility focus of the hybrid renderer
I’m just wondering if theres any more details about this?
And will the next entities release completely break URP (its already weird)?
Should I change to HDRP?
Is there a “stable” group of packages+unity versions I should be using?
I am wondering the same things. I am using URP with hybrid rendering + DOTS physics. I am basically waiting for the next round of package updates to use all the cool stuff seen at Unite. I didn’t realise URP wasn’t supported until I found some glitches then found the same post. I can’t really switch to HDRP as I am targeting mobile.
im facing the same problem too,
they told me that their primary focus is HDRP support for the moment, and they will focus on the URP in the midle of 2020. so if you are limited by time, Yes you should go for HDRP.
I’m not limited by time but I do want to be able to work visuals
I can’t even get a shader graph material to work with ECS + Hybrid Renderer
And based on other posts looks like there are more issues waiting for me
