Edgelib vs unity

I just noticed a few new games under this Edgelib engine…

Looks interesting, actually - especially as it has support for other smart-phones. If I weren’t so snowed with projects at the moment, I’d download it to evaluate.

It’s not going to be as quick to develop with as Unity, though - no Physics engine for starters, so if anyone were to go this route, I suspect it’d be somewhere between the timescale for developing a Unity game and just doing it from scratch in Objective-C.

Dunno, though - maybe I’m missing something.

Still - very interesting…!

Wow, Star Defense was made in EDGELIB. Star Defense is butter smooth and I’ve never seen the framerate slip.

Overall, EDGELIB seems fairly primitive in the 3D department, compared to Unity. The 2D functions look extremely nice, wish we had some 2D primitives in Unity.
