This happens rarely, but it’s quite annoying when it does. Sometimes the float fields for certain components won’t show the blue highlighting and cursor. I can delete the entry and type in numbers, just no highlight or cursor. It doesn’t effect all components and it seems to be random. I tried restarting unity, but that didn’t fix the problem. Rebooting doesn’t work either. Removing the broken component and re-adding it does fix it. If there are multiple objects with the same broken component removing and adding it on one gameobject will fix it on all. Float fields for the broken component work in Debug mode but not in Normal. To top it all off input will sometimes become offset. If I click on the third input field then the first will become highlighted.
I’m using a wacom for input and I’d be happy to blame it, but why doesn’t it happen on all the components. Why in Normal mode, but not in Debug.
I’ve submitted a bug. Hopefully it gets solved, but I doubt it will. It’s one of those bugs that just happens and there is no way to reproduce it. At least not that I’ve found. I thought I’d post here and see if anyone else has had the same issue.
